Terms of Use
Last updated: 2 October 2026
1. Who provides Bibleside
Bibleside is provided by Apex Technology Enterprises Ltd, 167-169 Great Portland Street, Fifth Floor, London W1W 5PF, United Kingdom, company number 15019510 ("we", "us"). By using the Bibleside app you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. What Bibleside does
Bibleside is a Bible study companion. You enter a passage and it builds a study sheet: key Greek and Hebrew words, background, cross-references and related Old Testament passages, what classic commentators said, and discussion questions. You can ask questions about the sheet, and each answer cites its sources. Bible references open in YouVersion. Bibleside is not a Bible reader.
3. Your account
You need an account to use Bibleside. You sign in with Apple, Google or an email address. Keep your sign-in details to yourself, and tell us at support@bibleside.app if you think someone else is using your account.
4. Subscriptions
- Bibleside shows you a study sheet during setup. After that it needs a subscription, which starts with a free trial.
- Subscriptions are monthly or annual. The price is shown in the App Store or Google Play before you buy.
- You buy and pay through the App Store or Google Play. The subscription renews automatically until you cancel it in your store's subscription settings.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own refund policies.
- Deleting your Bibleside account does not cancel a subscription.
5. AI-written content
Study sheets and answers are written by an AI model, working only from the study material Bibleside retrieves for your passage. Every Bible reference is checked before it is shown. Even so, a summary or an explanation can be wrong or incomplete. Check the sources each sheet and answer names, and use your own judgement.
Where Christian traditions disagree, Bibleside sets out the main positions and who holds them. It does not decide between them. Bibleside is a study aid. It is not a substitute for a pastor, a teacher or professional advice.
6. Sources and licences
Bibleside's study material comes from public-domain and openly licensed sources, each credited in the app. Study sheets and answers carry their credits and are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0. If you share them, keep the credits and the licence with them.
YouVersion and bible.com are separate services with their own terms.
7. Reporting content
Every study sheet and answer has a report button. Use it for anything wrong or offensive. We review what is reported.
8. Acceptable use
Do not:
- use Bibleside for anything unlawful;
- access it by automated means, or try to get around its usage limits or security;
- copy, modify or reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it;
- share your account with others.
9. Our rights
The Bibleside app, its name and its design belong to us. The study material belongs to its sources and is used under the licences credited in the app.
10. Changes and suspension
We may change, add or remove features. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. You can stop using Bibleside at any time and delete your account.
11. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under English law. If you are a consumer, these terms do not affect your legal rights.
Otherwise, we are not liable for loss that was not foreseeable when you started using Bibleside, or for business losses. Bibleside is for personal and group study, not commercial use.
12. Changes to these terms
When these terms change, we publish the new version on this page with a new date. If you keep using Bibleside after that, the new terms apply.
13. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Disputes go to the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
